Information contained on computer hard drives is often highly confidential and must be protected at all times ... even when the actual drive is no longer useful or functional.
Today, firms dealing with confidential financial and/or personal information, must protect themselves from the very significant liabilities that will occur if their data falls into the wrong hands. The secure disposal of hard drives is an important component of the firm's data protection regime.
ADL Data Destruction has developed a unique package of services that is designed specifically to ensure that valuable information never leaves the client premises in a usable form and that the actual storage devices themselves are recycled according to the best available security and environmental standards.

ADL has been successfully recycling used electronic equipment and materials for many years.
ADL continuously adapts each of its processes to meet or exceed clients' demands for secure and environmentally responsible data destruction and equipment disposal.

Onsite degaussing offers heightened protection simply because the process can be completely and efficiently carried out and documented under close client supervision..
ADL's degaussing process meets or exceeds client protocols for the secure erasure of all current hard disk configurations.

ADL's specialized press punches a large diameter hole through both the hard disk chassis and the disk itself, rendering it unusable for any purpose other than recycling.
Typically used as an additional precautionary step ... hard disk destruction is a process that quickly and permanently damages any demagnetized hard disk assembly.
For less critical data applications where the disk doesn't require demagnetizing, ADL's crushing process may be sufficient security to allow the disk assembly to be safely transported to the recycling facility.

The final step in the process ... shredding is performed by qualified ADL Process personnel within a special secure area at ADL's large recycling facility.
The crushed (and demagnetized where required under client data security protocols) disk is transported in locked containers from the client's facility to ADL and moved directly to the shredder for immediate processing.
Once reduced to metal chips, the hard disk materials can be safely sent to facilities that specialize in metal recycling ... closing the loop in a process that sees valuable materials efficiently reused.
